please do not execute memory-intensive
matlab sessions on the head-nodes. such
jobs ought be run on the compute-nodes
and are beginning to be problematic.

at 1200 today, i am going to 'kill -9'
every matlab process that is using > 10%
of the ram at ao, geo, and itrda. (you 
can check with 'top' if you would like).
