[12003] midterm etc

Dear 12003,

sorry about the mess today - a shorter than usual class and sign errors. You
deserve better.....

I have decided to:

(i) turn the midterm in to a take-home test which will be handed out on Monday
October 31st and returned on Friday November 4th.

(ii) make use of next Monday's lecture - freed up by the shift of the midterm -
to review where we are.

(iii) appropriately shorten and reschedule problem sets 6 and 7.

I am away in Baltimore - Mike and Angela will be handling the class on Friday.
It's on inertial circles and Coriolis forces.
